Ever since she was a little girl, Genelle constantly helped those around her because her parents always taught her it was the right thing to do. Although her family wasn’t wealthy, she lived a happy life with her parents and younger brother. As she grew older, she spent a lot of time in hospitals where she witnessed many of her relatives suffer in pain and eventually pass away. These great tragedies influenced her to find a higher calling in her life. Dedicated to a life of helping and healing people, Genelle spent most of her days volunteering at her local hospital. She knew in her heart, her purpose in life was to help others.
It was a rainy day in Beach City and as the rain came pouring down, Genelle ran quickly to the hospital to continue her volunteer work. The hospital was short-staffed and they began to depend on Genelle to complete many tasks. Many patients were being rushed into the emergency room and they need assistance. The hectic environment was overwhelming, filled with shouting, screaming, the sound of gurneys being rolled across the floor and the pleasant yet distant sound of rain hitting the windows. Genelle was instructed to gather some antibiotics from the storage room when a 7.5 earthquake hit. As Genelle attempted to maintain her balance, all the chemicals and antibiotics flew up in the air only to come crashing down on top of her. Knocked unconscious, Genelle was found an hour later by a group of nurses. Everyone, including Genelle was unaware of what had occurred in the storage room.
As doctors checked Genelle’s vitals, they discovered something remarkable. Although multiple glass bottles had shattered on the floor where they found Genelle, she had no scratches or cuts on her. Genelle complained of a wicked headache. After an extensive series of tests, the doctors could not find anything wrong with her. She was released to go back home to her family. She went home and had night of rest. The next morning, Genelle returned to the hospital to continue to volunteer. One of the nurses allowed her to “shadow” and take notes as she bandaged a child’s cut arm. The nurse instructed Genelle to watch over the child as she went to go retrieve some antiseptics and bandages which led Genelle to engage in a conversation with the young girl. As Genelle held the young girl’s arm to examine her cut, something miraculous occurred! The young girl’s cut disappeared which caused the young girl to scream. It was such an unusual encounter to witness and quite frankly, scared and perplexed even Genelle. She didn’t know how or why the young girl was healed. All she did know, was she thought about where the young girl’s cut was and wanted to help her. She kept playing the events in her head. Could it be? Did she have anything to do with this? Genelle convinced herself she was hallucinating as a result from the earthquake accident but something inside of her made her contemplate the possibilities. Was she a freak? Was she dreaming? What does this mean for her future as a nurse? Is her dream of healing people finally coming true?
After leaving the hospital, Genelle began to learn more about this miraculous ability she was given. She was given the power of conscious regeneration. All she needed was to be aware of the injured area she wanted to heal and it would heal. She began to call herself, Celadon Medella. Since Genelle couldn’t stand seeing others in pain, she realized she was given this power to fulfill her dream of preventing the pain of others. As Celadon Medella, she tried her best to heal as many sick and injured people as she could. However, a new villain called Bone Skull came to Beach City with the intent of ridding it of all the sick, injured or homeless people. He was a sadistic man who hated weakness and tortured his victims mercilessly. His master plan was to rid Beach City of those that were weak. It’s up to Celadon Medella to defeat Bone Skull, heal his victims and rid Beach City’s citizens of their pain.
